We hope you enjoy seeing our great
students in action.
Way to go this month PYP 2!
Continuing our unit of inquiry on symbols,
this month all PYP 2 classes were learning about hieroglyphs. They learned
about the historical context and meanings of this ancient Egyptian
symbol writing. Here, students are examining a model pyramid.
Following our theme of 'How We
Express Ourselves', students are encouraged to express themselves and to listen
to other's expression. Here, an older student visited our class to share a
story while students listened intently.
Our students working on learning to
express themselves through writing, through learning letter formation, writing
short words, and even some sentences.
Students are learning how to express themselves through movement
in PE. Our pupils are also studying symbols of the road and practising for
their very own drivers' tests. After mastering the meaning of road signs and
symbols they will earn their very own drivers' licences.
We are having a great month in PYP 2, and
we would like to take a minute especially to thank parents for
their partnership in coming to parent meetings and helping with the
bazaar crafts this month. Thank you parents!
