Story Telling

As we mentioned before, our current Unit of Inquiry is all about stories. 

The students were exposed to stories in different medias, such as through books, movies, theatre, puppet shows and retelling. They are learning to analyse the stories they are told. They identify the characters, the settings where the story happens, the main problem in the story and how the characters solve it.

To celebrate reading, for a whole week, we welcomed parents to read for us.

Our First Excursion: Little Red Riding Hood

What an exciting week! As part of our Unit of Inquiry, we have been learning about different ways stories are told. Last week we went to see one of our favourite stories live and in action! We traveled to Teatro Viradalata to see the theater company Cia. Le Plat Du Joir perform Chapeuzinho Vermelho.

As part of the trip we examined elements of theater such as props and scenery, and prepared questions to ask the actors about themselves and the performance.
