Cia dos Bichos




Our trip to Cia dos Bichos


Last week students from both campuses got together at “Cia. dos Bichos” to enjoy an adventurous day at the farm. We had to wake up so early it was still dark outside, but it was worth it! As soon as we got there, each class was assigned to a different guide, and off they went! We had a great day of hands-on experiences related to what we have been learning about in the classroom.

The children learnt about the habits of different farm animals, such as goats, chickens, horses and so on. They fed these animals and were able to pet them. One of the highlights of our fieldtrip was milking a cow. Since plants are also living things we find in farms, the guides explained about the soil used in their vegetable patches, the role of worms and showed different fruits and vegetables they had planted.

In the end of our trip, some students were so tired from all the fun they had in the farm, that they took a nap in the bus on the way back to school.
